This family business, operated by husband and wife team Kieyn and Stefanie Johnston is a true labor of love. NE clients are taught how to properly care for and maintain their natural tresses. A need Stefanie could not over look, NE set out to be a world premiere salon committed to the education and enrichment of a culture that unapologetically, Natural Essence would be born! Infused with deep Afro-Caribbean roots, 'Who does your hair?'In 2009, especially after being approached on a regular basis by people asking, defies society's definition of 'Beauty'. It was evident that Tampa possessed a growing natural hair community with a high demand for a salon that would cater to their unique needs. The couple relocated from Miami to Tampa, setting their sights on new ground.
